The 3rd Two Lakes Forum was held in Nan Kai University of Technology on September 3. Magistrate Lee, Mayor of Hangzhou City Chan-Wei Shao were present. There were many participants from both sides. The theme of this forum was Cultural and Creative Industry. Nantou artists such as Ke Ning, and Gu-Mon Lee also attended this forum. It was a very lively discussion.

    Magistrate Lee not only introduced the geography and scenery of Nantou and its agriculture products, but also described the interaction between Sun-Moon Lake and Xihu areas. The interaction started in 2006 in aspects such as tourism, religion, art and agriculture and have booked great results. Magistrate Lee has visited Zhejiang 6 times, in addition to the first Two Lakes Forum, he has also led students from eight Universities in Taiwan to visit Hangzhou. The art worlds from both sides have had intense contact. Chung Tai Chan Monastery and Ling-Yin Temple are brother temples. Long-Jing tea and Wu-Long tea are sister teas. Three villages in Nantou are sister villages with a few villages Hangzhou. Hangzhou Yueju Opera Group has preformed 4 times in the past 4 years in Nantou. Hangzhou has purchased lots of agriculture products from Nantou. More than 150,000 tourist from Hangzhou visit Nantou every year.

    Magistrate Lee pointed out that the intense interaction between Nantou and Hangzhou has facilitated the development of both two cities. The focus of the Two Lakes Forum was about cultural and creative industry, tourism, agriculture There was also a religion forum about Ji-Gong culture. Hopefully the forum will be helpful in the future development for both sides.

    Mayor Chan-Wei Shao is very impressed by the agriculture development of Nantou County. He said that Hangzhou citizens are very fond of Nantou agriculture products, for example wild rice, which has an interesting name - beauty's leg. Mayor Shao found the cooperation in agriculture areas from both side very important. He also hoped that the content of the Two Lakes Forums will be more enriched and have more depth in the future.

    The Forum invited Head of the Graduate Institute of Art Studies of Fo Guang University Gu-Fang Lin to give a speech. The topic is 'Sensation of Consumption – Cultural and Creative Industry'. Magistrate Lee and Mayor Shao were impressed by the interesting content. A friendly cooperation agreement was signed between Tunglu County E-shan She-Zu-Xiang and Ren-Ai Township of Nantou. They also exchanged sourniers. There was also a exhibition of Chinese paper cutting works organized by Tonglu County. Magistrate Lee and Mayor Shao cut the ribbon together. All the displayed works will be given to Nantou County. There was a paper cutting of the famous 'Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains'. Magistrate Lee found it amazing that the whole work was in one piece of paper. Nantou County Tea Production and Transportation Association also presented all kinds of teas in the venue to promote the tea industry of Nantou.
