For showing respect to the senior citizens who have been married more than 60 years, and all the represents from local townships of respect senior citizen models, senior citizen models, and senior citizen clubs. The Nantou County Government invites 2400 people, and chooses the dates of October 7th, and 8th, at the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village to hold the activity of 2008 Diamond Wedding and Golden Wedding praise ceremony.   The praise ceremony was divided into two days. The first day was the Diamond Wedding and Golden Wedding couples. As well as the respect senior citizen represents, models of senior citizens, and the senior citizen clubs from these townships of Tsaotun, chushang, chungliao, Lugu, Yuchih, Guoshing, and Chichi. The next day is the represents from Nantou, Puli, Shueili, Mingjian, Renai, and Sinyi. There are 293 Diamond Wedding Couples, 912 Golden Wedding Couples, walking through the time of poor and tough when Japanese occupied Taiwan, to 21st century of prosperous time. Compare to the couples of today, love between these couples are more precious.   In the ceremony, starting from Foolish Guys Social welfare Fundation leads the group activities, and talent shows from Yuchih Gold Stone senior citizen club, and Naruwan Group. The County Government also treats these represents a free tour at the Village Park, allow them to spend a wonderful day here.   The county Government says, it is an important issue to the County Government to taking good care of the senior citizens, and their welfares. This is a start and will continue to educate the whole county to follow this good tradition.
