2009 high school academy for environment protection result was announced by EPA, Exective Yuan. Nantou County has been won 1 excellent, 2 grade A evaluations. County Junior High School at Ming Jian has been honored as the excellent position, Che Cheng elementary school at Shui Li Township, and Qi Ling elementary school at Pu Li Township were honored as grade A.
  County EPA says all these schools need to evaluate and recommend by the county EPA, and education Board first. Then recommend to the cetral government to join the contest. The Central Government will evaluate these schools from time to time without any notices. Therefore, the result is complete fair for the schools and teachers who has been won these honors. Ming Jian Junior High School is able to won the Excellent Position in the national wide contest is not a easy job. They educate their students how to protect environment during the classes, and the school also set the goals and actions to cooperate with students to do it in the complete community. They use the community center to set up a demonstration center in the community center for Agricultural. This offer more students and local people to learn how to protect our environment. School board also use all kinds of opportunities to serve community service, and clean the community park. All of these actions touch deeply to the local people. Therefore, the Central EPA agrees the honor goes to Ming Jian Junior High School.
  The other Grade A elementary schools also has very outstanding results. They also united with community to build up a organic farm with recycle fallen tree leaves as fertilizer. Also, the school board assign all grades need to put the envinment related references into the class, as well as the eco environment to part of the education. The evaluation committee also very impressed.
