連至 Continuous learning in Nantou during the suspension of classes for epidemic prevention and continued lunch support for disadvantaged students, June 10 完整照片 In response to extended suspension of classes until July 2 announced by the central government, Nantou County has continued to provide remote teaching services. The schools plan basic courses with synchronous video teaching, non-synchronous pre-recorded videos or online learning resources (such as the online teaching materials on the homepage of the Education Department website and PTS3), as well as using digital teaching platforms (such as Adaptive Learning, LearnMode, Junyi Academy) and communication software to teach and give assignments. The county government said that by providing diverse learning channels, students can learn without interruption during the suspension of classes.

As for the final evaluation of the academic performance of primary school, junior high school and senior secondary school students in the county, the schools are advised to take a liberal grading approach, cancel examinations by physical attendance and participation, and use flexible and diversified methods (such as reading feedbacks, written reports, oral presentation, etc.) to evaluate students' academic performance

In addition, the schools will take the initiative to coordinate surrounding convenient stores or buffet businesses to provide lunch for disadvantaged students with four types of background (low-income, medium-low income, family emergencies and special circumstances identified by the class instructor). If students require emergency assistance for their families, they can also contact their schools to assist in applying for the Nantou County’s food bank vouchers or to ask charitable organizations for assistance.
