連至 The vaccination of the second batch of AZ vaccines begins and by crowd diversion, flow subdivision and different schedule, older adults can get vaccinated at ease, June 19 完整照片 The central government has allocated the second batch of 10,300 doses of AZ vaccine, which are donated by Japan, to Nantou County and the vaccination has started today (19th) at large-scale vaccination stations set up in 13 towns and cities across the county. Deputy County Magistrate Chen Cheng-Sheng, who went to the vaccination station at Puli Comprehensive Stadium to check on the status, said that the community vaccination service this time, from setting up the venue to notifying those who are registered for vaccination, has been significantly improved than the first time, and by age classification, crowd diversion, flow subdivision and different schedule, the older adults can be more at ease and get vaccinated first, rather than waiting in line for too long like before. Chen appreciates the efforts of all public health staff and the county government team from the grassroots in townships and cities, and he also reminds older adults who have been notified but not yet been vaccinated to go to the designated venue for vaccination, as the vaccination stations are open until the 20th.

Deputy County Magistrate Chen went to the large-scale vaccination station at the comprehensive stadium in Puli Township at about 9:30 in the morning. Accompanied by Director Lu Cheng-Wei of the Education Department, Director Huang Chao-Lang of the Public Health Bureau, and Commissioner Fang Chiu-Mei of Puli Precinct of Nantou County Police Bureau, Chen walked through the entire vaccination station to meticulously learn about the vaccination status and cheer up the hard-working epidemic prevention staff. Puli Township Mayor Liao Chih-Cheng was also present.

Deputy County Magistrate Chen said that the second batch of AZ vaccination is conducted by age classification: 86 years old (76 years old for indigenous people) and above; by crowd diversion, flow subdivision and different schedule: the time of the vaccination is scheduled based on household registration and the qualified number of people. The “one-stop service” is also provided for older adults who are there to be vaccinated, that is, the older adults stay at the same place and only the staff move to ensure that the older adults get some rest, evaluation and observation in the optimum way before and after the vaccination and that the possibility of adverse vaccine reactions is minimized.
