Build Partnerships for Tourism; Grand Opening Held in Taipei ITF “Central Taiwan Integrated Marketing Hall”
Central Taiwan, which is full of enchanting scenery, has often been found to be the best choice for the general public to travel. To combine resources and exert their utmost power for running a promotion, the 4 counties and cities - Nantou, Taichung, Changhua, and Miaoli—have established the “Central Taiwan Integrated Marketing Hall” in Taipei ITF. A grand opening was held at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1 on Nov. 4th so that the general public can get familiar with the information all at once from these data that they collected from food, clothing, lodgings and public transport at their utmost convenience.
Since the wonderful performance of the Japanese Taiko Drum and showgirl hot dance began, the grand opening officially started for the travel fair at the “Central Taiwan Integrated Marketing Hall.” Deputy Director-General Chang, Shi-Chung at the Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Secretary General Hung Jui-Chi at the Nantou County Government, Chief Secretary Chuang Yu-Meng at Taichung City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau, Executive Officer Chen Chun-Jui at the Changhua County Government, and Director General Chiu Peng-hsin at Culture and Tourism Bureau, Miaoli County attached their maps on hand to the wall in front of the marketing hall. The maps were first synthesized and then created a beautiful flower, which symbolizes the integrated marketing approach adopted by the four counties in central Taiwan, and the number of visitors it attracts has doubled in number with their mutual efforts.
Secretary General Hung said the government tries to promote a new concept of “the 4 goodies and 1 without nothingness—play hard, eat well, sleep well, and use public transport without worry” in Central Taiwan through integrated marketing to introduce all kinds of travel features and abundant tourism resources. There are over 20 tourism vendors coming from these counties and who arrived at the site of the Taipei ITF. These vendors wanted to promote the beautiful landscape and famous scenic spots in Nantou such as the Sun Moon Lake, Qingjing Farm and Xitou through marketing and these are the perfect places for a family trip. Hung said that everyone is welcome to visit the travel fair and book a sightseeing tour in the four counties in central Taiwan.
Deputy Director-General Chang of the Tourism Bureau pointed out that the 4 counties and cities in Central Taiwan have incorporated lavish urban fashion and natural landscapes so that the general public can enjoy them all on a single trip package. This time, a co-marketing approach was adopted to establish the travel line in the 4 counties and cities in Central Taiwan to exert power over tourism to the utmost. Hopefully, the 4-day exhibition can go smoothly and be a success to make its mark in the area’s central tourism and travel.
The Central Taiwan Integrated Marketing Hall planned to hold an event called “a NT $3000 purchase to draw lots and merrily sending out air tickets” during the time of the IFT from Nov. 4th to 7th. For the general public, all they have to do is to submit a minimum NT$3,000 purchase at the exhibition hall from a hotel industry in Nantou County or at 20 more tourist hotels in Nantou on the day of visiting, and they can win a chance to draw lots for joining the air ticket event at the hall. Everyone is welcome to join the event and experience the glamor of travelling in Central Taiwan.
