Nantou Lantern Festival to be the first to hold a grand opening with the bonus tour comprised of a lantern festival, the dragon expo and the sandcastle expo during the Chinese New Year
Nantou Lantern Festival is to be the first to hold a grand opening at the center in Nantou County on Jan. 21st earlier than any other county and city. It combines the international sandcastle art expo and the dragon amusement park expo event to target audiences who might go on a trip during the Chinese New Year holidays. It offers the most rewarding travel itinerary with an extra bonus. CM Lin, Ming-Chen invited all guests to light up the lanterns with a laser blade. The main lantern called the “cock crows and welcomes the spring” and the peripheral lanterns all light up in the lantern area all of a sudden. It announced that the Nantou Lantern Festival and a series of peripheral events were now officially started. There were some small lanterns with the favorite cock-shaped form available for the people who went to visit on site to celebrate the Lantern Festival in advance.
CM Lin said, compared to last year, the flower lantern used in the Nantou Lantern Festival this year would look even better and more exquisite. There were thousands of flower lanterns, which were so appealing that they have attracted people’s attention. One should not miss out on the flower lanterns made in China. Especially, the Nantou Lantern Festival this year will combine the sandcastle with the dragon expo. Guests could not only have fun all day long, but also could have a chance to visit each township or village for recreation, and enjoy some gourmets while spending away the unforgettable Chinese New Year holidays.
The Japanese Drum Team from the Si-Nan Elementary School in Puli was invited to start the grand opening event. Afterwards, CM Lin invited the guests to light up the main lantern called the “cock crows and welcomes the spring” with the 15 meters tall Mt. Jade as its background. He also took a look around the Top 12 lantern areas. There were some lanterns coming from the friendship cities like Zhejiang, Hangzhou, and Sichuan to join the expo. Some government agencies inside the county and the community used the township or village, and agricultural specialties as the topic of this event, and each had created its feature and glamour. The county government invited the “Fiery Dragon Show” from Sichuan, China to run a performance on the silk stage in Nantou City (on Shunxi N. Rd.) during Feb. 9th to Feb. 11th this year to celebrate the Lantern Festival. He has invited and welcomed everyone to go there and enjoy the show.
The Dragon Amusement Park Expo has started and attracted people to go into the expo and take a look at it. Varying from the common dragon model expo, this expo combines the lively dragons with technology exhibition. What makes it so special is that the active cinema 5D built in the expo. Through visual, audio & lighting, and physical effect, people are allowed to place themselves in ancient times where dragons ruled the world. The sandcastle expo was built up in the way of a regular exhibition, which has created the first International Sand Sculpture Art and Culture Park in Taiwan. Many sculpture masters from various countries gathered here to create the artwork, and have come up with 9 themes as planned including plenty of artworks like the Nantou landscape, Walking into Xanadu , and the Gate of Art. It allows the guests to walk into a fantasy world of sand sculpture. For more details about this event, please visit the official website of this event at: http://www.rs-event.com.tw/2017NTL/.
