Nantou hot spring season weekend debut, Internet Celebrities invites the public not to miss out
    With the “2017 Nantou Hot Spring Season” Grand opening at Puli Hot Spring Area on November 5th, the county government held a press conference in the lobby on the 1st, announcing a series of exciting activities. The county government invited 3 Famous internet celebrities, Lucy, Leggy Sweetheart and A Dou Zai Youtuber, as spokespersons for the event and to stream live introducing the events for the hot spring season. The secretary general Hung Jui-Chih said the county government invites industry businesses to push limited promotions for hot springs and lounging on the “ Nantou is Fun” APP, starting at NT$499, inviting everyone not to miss out.

    Secretary General Hung said that winter is the perfect time to come to Nantou for some hot springs, cherry blossoms and plum blossoms. Nantou has mostly carbonated hot springs, containing carbon dioxide, which forms bubbles on the skin massaging it, while the spring water and temperature could stimulate microvascular dilatation aiding blood circulation, and reducing the burden on the heart. Scholars have called it the spring of the heart. This year’s hot spring season is jointly held by the three major hot spring areas in Puli, Beigang Xi and Dongpu. The one-month event coincides with many discount packages; everyone is invited to come to Nantou to enjoy the hot springs and the beautiful scenery.

    Nantou hot spring season opens up with Puli hot spring area’s “I play slow – A Tour de Force of Puli hot springs” in the lead on Sunday. Tian Quan hot spring house calls on tourists to tour the town on bicycles, enjoy hot spring cuisines, experience DIY crafting, and try out the free outdoor visitor SPA.

    Beigang Xi hot spring area with its grand debut at the Atayal Resort on the 11th, the two weekend days before 11 am are open for free public admission and to experience the hot springs, as well as artistic dances and trending bands for live performances. The only Atayalwater festival in central Taiwan is also a major focus; you can bring your own water guns and ladles to join in the Splash Wars, bathing in the cold springs before entering the hot spring areas for a dip, as an alternative way of enjoyment.

    The Grand Finale is to walk the streets with a torch in a yukata during an event held at Dongpu hot spring area at the foot of the Yushan Mountain on the 18th. Visitors who participate can get a free yukata, go for a walk under the winter night sky with a torch in hand, while enjoying unique Bu Nun tribal cuisines with Pasibutbut.
