    In 2017, the grand Taiwanese Agricultural Exhibition was held for 23 days with more than 800,000 visitors. There was a delegation of Changhua county mayor, Wei Ming Gu, Deputy county mayor of Nantou County, Chen Zheng Sheng, Deputy county mayor of Miaoli County, Teng Kuei Chu and Secretary of Taichung Agriculture Bureau Wang Juilin jointly announced a successful conclusion on the afternoon of November 26th. Deputy Magistrate of Miaoli County Teng made a promise to everyone: to meet at Miaoli in September next year. Deputy Magistrate Chen whole-heartedly welcomes the civilians of the 4 central counties to visit Nantou from February 10th to March 10th next year, and enjoy the wonderful Nantou Lantern festival.

    Deputy county mayor Chen said, from November 4th to 26th, the central Taiwan Agricultural exhibition is about to end, this time the county government specifically used “Taste of Nantou” exhibition hall, 13 townships presented in order of altitude, showing off the county’s industry to the public. This time county has 36 stalls of agricultural products, 14 food exhibition stalls, sales are quite good, hope for greater expansion in the future, thus, to fulfill farmer’s needs, the county government plans to expand exhibition during next year’s Lantern Festival, to let the industry have more contact with the consumer, and win public trust and support.

    Deputy county mayor Chen also pointed out that due to the central agricultural exhibition having a noticeable impact on the public’s view of the industries in the central regions for the last couple of years, having a complimentary effect especially in the major agricultural projects across all counties, with advantages that can be improved on, presenting the blossoming state of agriculture in the central areas. Production of Markers and QR code, have reached a fairly high level in recent years, so product can be loved and supported by the public, is something the agriculture of Nantou can be proud of.

    Deputy county mayor Teng of Miaoli County also stated that next year’s central agricultural exhibition will be held by Miaoli County at the Miaoli County Stadium from September 22nd to October 4th. We believe the beauty of the 4 counties’ agriculture will be presented in a better and higher quality.

    During the meeting, County mayor Wei presented and commended the winner of the rural community revival contest, with Puli Township Nan Chuan community taking the gold medal, while Nantou city’s Feng Ming community and XinXing community won the Popularity award with outstanding performance worthy of recognition.
