Bau Tzong-ho and Chiang Ming-tsang, members of the Control Yuan, inspected the Jhushan area on January 26 and showed their affirmation of the Nantou County Government in implementing the Taiji Splendor Land project. They suggested that it needs stories to market the Taiji Splendor Land. It can attract more tourists with the development of local features.
On that day, Deputy Magistrate Chen Cheng-sheng accompanied the members of the Control Yuan to conduct the second inspection of team 6, the 2017 regional institution inspection. In addition to accepting 4 people’s complaint, they also attended the briefing of the “Nantou Taiji Splendor Land Project – Plan and Implementation” and “Jhushan Cultural Park Operation, Management, Transportation, ans Shuttle Service” presented by the Nantou County Government and Jhushan Township Office. The members of the Control Yuan praised the idea of integrating bamboo and tea on Taiji Splendor Land, and encouraged them to operate it sustainably.
Deputy Magistrate Chen expressed that after Magistrate Lin Ming-chen assumed his office, he had endeavored to promote the idea of a sightseeing capital. With the efforts of different sectors, Nantou was elected as the 5th Best Sightseeing Spot in Asia by TripAdvisor. The two Member of Control Yuan gave valuable suggestions on operation and transportation planning for Taiji Splendor Land. In the future, it is hoped that the Central Government can provide a positive influence on Nantou’s tourism, and solve the problems of PM2.5 and little black mosquitoes. With their help, Nantou will continue to shine.
Control Yuan Member Chiang suggested that there should be enough stories to market Taiji Splendor Land and attract visitors. They can make reference to Japan to allow inhabitants of the communities to maintain the environment autonomously. After visiting Jhushan Cultural Park, Control Yuan Member Chiang praised the diverse bamboo crafts created in Nantou County. He thought they could be developed further and provide people with hands-on experience to promote tourism.
Control Yuan Member Bau expressed that he hoped the Nantou County Government would operate the featured industry of bamboo and tea in Taiji Splendor Land sustainably. In this inspection, he showed much concern about the funds, personnel, promotion of tourism, and more regarding the Taiji Splendor Land Project. From the presentation, he learned that the Nantou County Government and people cooperate seamlessly, with abilities to train more tour guides, recruit more talent, and make marketing strategies to attract more visitors. In the future, he expects the Nantou County Government to use limited resources to achieve the best promotion results in order to attract more overseas visitors.
The Member of Control Yuan also accepted the peoples’ complaints, totaling 4, including controversies of land, education benefits for retired people’s children, and more.
