    To provide seniors and people with no convenient transportation to obtain healthcare service in the neighborhood, Health Bureau, Nantou County Government provides about 50 integrated tour physical checkup services in the communities actively in 2108. In April, County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen visited Puli Township, Nantou City, and Zhongliao Township to give his concern to people receiving physical checkup. He expressed his gratitude to Nantou Christian Hospital, Nantou Optometry Association, optometrists from Chung Shan Medical University, Department of Optometry, Asia University, and other teams for providing physical checkup services in remote areas.

    On the 1st, County Magistrate Lin expressed that in Nantou, there are many remote areas. It makes it very inconvenient for seniors to travel long distances on cars to get medical treatment. To consolidate senior healthcare, the county government go to the country areas to provide integrated health check for folks of grass root. He felt glad to see them receive physical checkup actively for their own health. In the future, the county government will continue to provide tour physical checkup to take care of seniors’ health.

The items of the tour physical checkup include the measurement of height, weight, blood pressure, and vision, as well as the testing of blood, urine, stool occult blood for colorectal cancer, and more. In addition, there are also the screening for oral cancer and potentially malignant disorder, pap smear test and x-ray mammography for women, health consultation and referral, and more. In this year, a new item – all-in-one optometry service is provided to people above 30 years of age, including the service items computer optometry, intraocular pressure measurement, visual acuity, macular degeneration test, slit lamp microscope test, and more.
