County Magistrate Lin shows his concern to the well digging and the progress of the development at the site of Fuxing Farm
Accompanied by Director Li Cheng-wei of the Department of Economic Affairs, County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen of Nantou County went to the site of Fuxing Farm to inspect the progress of the construction project and hosted the blessing ceremony for the completion of drilling of the first well on April 20. Later on, the water quality and the standard of water quantity will be tested. It is hoped that by the end of the year, it is possible to complete the goals of finishing the basic construction items.
At present, the site of Fuxing Farm is undergoing the construction items of land leveling, site digging, road opening, drainage building, soil and water conservation, flood detention pool, drilling of hot spring, sewage processing pipeline management, and more. In addition to understand the overall process of the construction project, County Magistrate Lin also cared much about the progress of the survey and well digging for the obtain of hot spring water. With the explanations of the engineers, he understood the progress of the drilling machine and the well drilling constructions. Now, the digging of the first well has reached the depth of 1,460m and the water temperature is tested to be about 50°C. In the future, the results of obtaining water from well digging and water quality test will be obtained and confirmed.
County Magistrate Lin expressed that all the progress of all the construction items in Fuxing Farm has been smooth. The supply of hot spring water is highly important to the success of the construction of Fuxing Farm and Resort Hotel Zone. Now, the survey of the first well has completed and the water temperature has reached the standard. But it needs further tests to confirm the quality and quantity of the water there. In the future, the hot spring water from other three wells will be surveyed and tested in this model continuously.
In the morning, County Magistrate Lin also visited Lushan Hot Spring Zone to inspect the hanging bridge, the roads, and other infrastructure construction. Local residents and the operators responded that the roads on the two ends of the hanging bridge are too narrow and steep. Drivers and pedestrians may get slipped easily. Moreover, the hanging bridge swings seriously. Neither is there any lighting at night. It may cause danger easily. They hope the county government will solve these problems soon.
Regarding these suggestions, County Magistrate Lin expressed that Lushan Hot Spring Zone has already been suspended and is regarded at a preserved area. But there are still residents in this area. Their living environment should still be taken care of. Many of the infrastructure constructions are old and broken, causing much inconvenience to local residents. Improvements to these conditions are necessary. He appointed the Department of Tourism and Department of Public Works to repair and reinforce the hanging bridge and lighting during the nighttime, improvement of the slope land and the safety in lanes and alleys. Maintenance and improvement will be conducted to guarantee people’s safety.
