County Magistrate Lin hosted a simple but grand handover ceremony of the Director-general of the Police Bureau
    The handover ceremony of the Director-general of the Police Bureau held in the 6th floor auditorium of the bureau on July 16 was hosted by County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen and was supervised under the Division Chief of Internal Affairs Office at the National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior, Yang Chong-de. While giving the speech, County Magistrate Lin affirmed the achievements from the resigned Director-general, Chiu Kuan-yu, during his one-year and four-month term of office, including his dedication to public security, transportation and service for the people. He also expressed his welcome to the new Director-general, Chen Mu-shu, to join the team and to continue to create new public security in Nantou.

    The participants included Wu Guo-chang, the Councilor and the Chairman of the Friends of the Police Association in Nantou. The other Councilors, Lin Fang-yu, Zeng Zhen-yan, Li Zhou-zhong, and Jian Jing-xian, Nantou City Mayor Sung Huai-lin, Chief Secretary of Nantou District Prosecutors Office Huang Zheng-yang, Captain of the Nantou Military police corps Hong Yi-jie, Division Chief of Nantou county division of Investigation Bureau Liu Qing-an and other people from various circles. Overall, the ceremony was grand.

    County Magistrate Lin said that the public security in Nantou County has become stable in the past two years and its performance has been outstanding. In terms of traffic safety, we’ve recently won first place at the 2018 Excellence Awards Group regarding “Improving Highway Traffic Order and Safety Projects-2017 executive evaluation”, and moreover, the first place in the individual traffic safety information group. These fruitful outcomes are credited not only with the leadership of Director-general Chiu, but also the efforts of all colleagues. The new Director-general Chen has rich experience and superior ability. We believe that under the leadership of Chen, the public security in Nantou County will have a brand new page.

    Division Chief of the Internal Affairs Office, Mr. Yang, also said that the abilities of the both two Director-generals are highly recognized by the governors at all levels, and their duties and experiences are quite rich. He expressed sincere congratulations to the new Director-general Chiu. By using this opportunity, Division Chief Yang also conveyed his care to all the police, reminded them to pay attention to their own safety, to strengthen internal communication, and to listen to the voice of the police so as to enhance the morale of the work, and finally to maintain discipline all together.

    The new Director-general, Chen Mu-shu, was born in Changhua County. He graduated from the Central Police University in the 45th term. His serving experiences include the Inspector of the Taipei County Government Police Station, the Division Chief of the Duty Command Center, New Taipei City Government Police Bureau, the Commander of Traffic Police Corps, Commanding Officer of the Shulin Precinct, the Zhonghe First Precinct, and the Haishan Precinct, Director of the Public Security Division, National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior. His experiences are so complete with great achievements. On the other hand, former Director-general Chiu will be transferred to the Director of the Public Security Division, National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior.
