Magistrate Lin Receives 5-star Award in Taipei
Global View Monthly (GVM) announced the results of its 2019 “Poll on Satisfaction of Administrative Implementations of Magistrates and Mayors.” Magistrate Lin was credited by five stars, ranked fourth across Taiwan, and scored third among all magistrates and majors. GVM held on June 11 the Honors Presentation for Five-Star Magistrates and Mayors in Taipei City. Professor Charles Kao, the GVM founder, gave an opening address and presided over the ceremony. Five five-star magistrates and mayors, including Magistrate Lin, attended the ceremony to receive the awards and gave a short speech on their administrative belief and appreciation of the award.

According to Magistrate Lin, he was the first Nantou magistrate ever to win the five-star award, and administrative implementations in Nantou were difficult before they became gradually easy. Those who are at the end must make constant self-improvement because it is the only way to keep moving forward. GVM has held the poll for over a dozen years. As shown in the historical records, it is not easy for Nantou to become a five-star county in administrative implementations from the end. This also suggests the county government’s efforts over the last five years were eventually worth it. Magistrate Lin specially thanked citizens of Nantou for their trust and society for its support for Nantou County. The magistrate was also grateful to GVM for its insightful analysis of the poll for the county government to know the opportunities for making constant improvement.
