Magistrate Lin Presents Prizes to 466 Graduates from Schools across County
    It is the season of the flamboyant and Auld Lang Syne. To reward graduates of the year winning the Magistrate’s Award for their excellence in academics and conduct from elementary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools, colleges, and universities in Nantou Country, Magistrate Ming-chen Lin presented on June 15 morning the Magistrate’s Award to 466 graduates at the grand hall of the Nantou County Hall. Magistrate Lin also presented to them an EasyCard with the calligraphy “Excellence in Academics and Conduct” by Taiwanese calligrapher Ku-mo Li to encourage students to maintain their hard work in future study and wish them all the best. In addition, Magistrate Lin hoped that they would become the mainstay of society and pay back their hometown by cultivating more talents.

    According to Magistrate Lin, a total of 466 graduates from schools of all levels in the country were awarded the Magistrate’s Award. They all gathered together at the county hall to receive the county government’s commendation and kept for themselves sweet memories. Their excellence in academics and conduct and hard work in learning set forth a good example for their junior schoolmates. Magistrate Lin hopes that they can continue their efforts and learn seriously for better results. He encouraged them to aim higher than the Jade Mountain, look yonder than the Zhoushui River, and behave as honestly as the Mingtan Dam, in order to become the elite of Nantou County and talents of the country.
