Magistrate Lin visits Chenggong Ling to pay tribute to the alternative military trainees and educational re-assembly reserve soldiers
Magistrate Lin Ming-zhen, accompanied by Director-general Wu Yan-ling of Department of Civil Affairs of the County Government and Director Liu Xun-cheng of Armed Force Service Station visited Chenggong Ling in Taichung on the 11th to greet the 91 alternative military trainees of Nantou and presented them with extra meal benefits and fast food.After the meeting, they and the trainees took a group photo together. They received warm welcome from the recruits. Later, accompanied by Colonel Chen Wei-zhong, Commander of the Armed Forces Reserve Command of Nantou to visit the 300 reserve soldiers in the educational re-assembly, Magistrate Lin presented them with extra meal benefits and celebrated the birthdays with the birthday people on this month and shared the birthday cakes with them. It was warm and touching.
Magistrate Lin said that it is a citizen’s duty to serve in the compulsory military service. It is also a turning point in life. He hopes that trainees can regard the military training as a part of their challenges in life. They should learn to obey senior officers and the regulations. Taking care of each other, it is good for them train their bodies and minds. When the military service is completed, they are welcome to return to their hometowns and contribute to the prosperity of Nantou. The Nantou County Government also works to fulfill the policies for young people to help them start up. Providing them with a good employment environment, he hopes that young people can live happily in Nantou.
