    On the 29th, Magistrate Lin Ming-zhen, Director-General Lin Zhi-zhong of Department of Social and Labor Affairs, Director-General Lin Qi-yu of Information and Administration Department, and the representatives of “Love to Mountainous Areas Train” visited Ms. Xie in Nantou City to give their condolences and present her with NTD 60 thousand in financial aids and NTD 200 thousand in donations to help with the burial of her grandparent so that she could overcome the hardship.

    Magistrate Lin said that when they paid their condolences at her home, they knew that the parents of Ms. Xie died when she was small. She was raised by the maternal grandfather. Her family was in financial difficulties. Unfortunately, her grandparent died because of heart disease. She needed NTD300 thousand for the hospital and the burial. But she couldn’t afford this because her pay could hardly support her own living. It brought her difficulties. In addition to presenting her with the Magistrate Burial Aids of NTD 60 thousand, the county government also collaborated with “Love to Mountainous Areas Train,” whose members Yan Shu-ying and Zeng A-qi raised NTD 200 thousand for her. The donation was presented by Ms. Yan to Ms. Xie. The county government and the charity group worked together to help Ms. Xie to bury her grandparent and alleviate her financial burdens.
