    There are 24 communities and NPO in total that have been selected to be the community development locations for the 2019 Third-Stage Community Development and Village Settlement Culture Development Project. To allow members of all community development locations to establish close-knit community development partnership relations, in the morning of the 7th, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Nantou County Government conducted the “My Community Now – Victory Now” community development family congregation event at Nantou’s local vitalizing exhibition venue – the Nantou Cat Bank. The congregation was hosted by the Deputy Magistrate, while Councilor Lai Yan-xue also made appearance to show her support. During the event, Deputy Magistrate Chen led the 24 communities and announced the official initiation of the project. The participating communities all exhibited their passion, shared their experiences and exchanged gifts to pass down the spirit of Nantou’s community development. Overall, the event had a highly interactive and warm ambiance.

    Deputy Magistrate Chen said that this is the first family meeting for the 2019 community development locations. There were 42 communities that applied to participate in the initial round of selections. After going through fair but fierce competitions, 24 communities were finally selected. To encourage the fighting stamina and morale of the Nantou community development comrades, the Cultural Affairs Bureau has specially organized this event, bringing together members from all community development locations as well as the community development vitalizing consulting team to exchange and share their community development experiences, establishing even closer community development partnership relations. It is hoped that the participating communities will continue charging forward in the spirit of spreading their success and creating immediate victories, to expand participation diversity and initiate the series of community development projects this year in full force, thereby bringing forth a happy LOHAS community environment.
