    Nantou County Government Fire Station members Yiwen Lin and Kuanyi Lin participated in the ASIA EMS Competition and the World Police and Fire Games, winning the gold medals in the field rescue competition and the men’s “bench press” 93 kg class respectively, and County Magistrate Mingchen Lin specially praised the award on the 14th.

    County Magistrate Mingchen Lin also responded to the award-winning firefighters’ comments on site. He instructed not only the Government Fire Station to expand its budget as appropriate to encourage firemen to compete abroad, but also tried to give further substantive rewards to the two gold medalists.

    County Magistrate Lin pointed out that Jhongsing Branch member Kuanyi Lin, only 33 years old, had more than ten years’ experience as a senior fire-fighting elite. He not only won the gold medal of the Bench Press in the World Police & Fireman Games, but also the silver medal of the Bench Press & Deadlift. He strived in self-training with his perseverance and spirit, worthy as a role model for other police in Nantou County to follow. Yiwen Lin served in Nantou for two years, and continued to work out with old colleagues from Taoyuan. Therefore, she won the gold medal in the ASIA EMS Competition of Malaysia’s First International Competition. County Magistrate Lin was so proud of Nantou’s good talents with such a brilliant performance, and must give them great praise.
