Hsiang Yu Shih Sui Tea Expo successfully closed with a record 600,000 visitors
On October 20th 2019, the 2019 Nantou World Tea Expo ended perfectly. Through the 11 days of exhibition, visitors and turnover hit a record high of nearly 600,000 visitors and sales of 85 million dollars, which all significantly increased over last year and created unlimited creativity and success. This was recognized by all, but also created another summit for the Nantou County tea industry.

The closing ceremony was held in Chung Hsing Assembly Hall on the afternoon of the 20th. County Magistrate Mingchen Lin particularly thanked the township and town farmers, all the tea farmers and tea-loving people who helped to participate in the competition, so that the Tea Expo could create a new summit of performance including folks and tea farmers making money and bringing business opportunities for Nantou. The biggest feature this year was that each exhibition hall was equipped with air-conditioning. The exhibition space was also located around the large playground, with wooden walkways so that the visitor traffic was smooth, and the exhibition space was increased meaning visitors had a more comfortable environment and activities were full with people. Next year we will continue to succeed this tea fragrance.

During these events, a lot of records were made, including thousands of people kneading tea, thousands of people tea parties, thousands of people pounding tea and thousands of picnics with enthusiastic responses from visitors, regardless of the collection of online registration or collection ticket on-site, which were sold out almost by the minute. Visitors queued for the limited cups of tea in daily opening event “A Decade’s Bounty,” which showed their recognition and enthusiastic support.
