    The 2019 International Day of Persons with Disabilities and lottery promotion activities were held in Nantou on the 17th at Nantou Exhibition Center. Hosted by Magistrate Lin Ming-zhen, people with disabilities, families, and the general public, totaled 1,600, came from different towns and townships. The venue was packed with happy people. In his speech, Magistrate Lin expressed that the people with disabilities in Nantou County can overcome their shortcomings to become independent. They contributed their skills in the society, serving people. Their contributions are much appreciated. He expects people with disabilities can develop their skills and overcome difficulties, creating beautiful lives.

    Magistrate Lin said, December 3rd, 2019 was the “International Day of Persons with Disabilitiesˮ in Nantou. He encouraged people with disabilities to participate in social activities. Nantou County Government sponsored this activity in advance in collaboration with the promotion of lottery, constructing the image of the lottery’s social responsibility of taking care of minorities. He invited participants to relax themselves and have a happy weekend.

    Magistrate Lin also expressed that at present there are about 30 thousand disabled people in Nantou. Nantou County Government concerned the welfare of people with disabilities very much. Promoting welfare policies actively, it introduces social resources to fund its charity works. The only wish is to help people with disabilities to function well in society and develop their skills, creating happy lives for themselves. In the future, the county government will continue to execute welfare policies to allow people with disabilities and minorities to be taken care of. If people with disabilities encounter difficulties, they can tell their problems to and seek help from the Nantou County Government.
