Deputy Magistrate Chen received and honored Chan Min-chao, the winner of an international exhibition of invention
The invention of Chan Min-chao, “pipe dredging device” won the honor of a gold medal in the 71st iENA Nuremberg International Trade Fairs of Invention 2019. Deputy Magistrate Chen Cheng-shen received him in the Mayor’s office in the afternoon on the 9th and presented him with a certificate and presents to honor his accomplishment. He also encouraged Mr. Chan to continue researching and developing new inventions to boost Taiwan’s international profile.
Deputy Magistrate Chen acclaimed Mr. Chan’s creativity and efforts highly. Young people tend to regard practical issues in daily life as problems and try to solve them with creative design by researching and developing effective products. It allows them to shine in international exhibitions of inventions. It is difficult for them to perform brilliantly on these occasions. Mr. Chan also introduced the features and functions of his invention to the Deputy Magistrate during the interview.
Chan Min-chao is a native of Caotun and is currently a student at National Chin-yi University of Technology. As his family is working in the construction business, he always needs to clean blocked pipes. Facing practical problems and actual needs in daily life, he invented this pipe dredging device that can work its way through narrow and curvy pipes. With the simple theory of turning and cutting, it cleans up the dirt in pipes, improving the current problems of blocked pipes and pipes that cannot be cleaned easily.
Shen Yu-hao, the leader of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) delegates expressed that in this year’s international exhibition of inventions, there were 800 entries from more than 30 countries. Among the 20 entries from Taiwan, 17 medals were won, with 6 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals.
