Welcomed by net users, there were 10,241 participants entering the poll. In the morning, Magistrate Lin Ming-zhen drew the lucky winners. The top three favored administration items were the tea expo, lantern festival, and nutritious lunch. Magistrate Lin expressed his gratitude towards people’s support of the county development.

    According to the calculation, the 1st was “Nantou Global Tea Expo”, earning 3,049 votes. The 2nd was “Nantou Lantern Festival,” earning 2,964 votes. The 3rd was “nutritious lunch,” earning 2,697 votes. In the year-end conference held on the 18th, the county government presented the awards to the top 3 units sponsoring the events to uphold its ideal of allowing people to feel the administration quality. As to the rest of the items, they were “Cingjing Skywalk,” “Five Major Parks to boost economic growth,” “community nutrition centers,” “the installation of CPR Thumper,” “accomplishments in reducing debts,” “false teeth subsidization,” “youth startup loans,” “agricultural product export,” “urban land consolidation in Lantian City,” and the “opening of Ping Ching Bridge.”

    The Information and Administration Department, the sponsor, expressed that the 1st item – Tea Expo – had just finished leaving deep impressions on people. As to the 2nd item, the Nantou Lantern Festival, it was also a large event. The planning and contents of both events were very exciting, attracting visitors form different counties and cities to Nantou. They helped boost tourism and agriculture. People participated in them with high intentions. Naturally, they left deep impressions on people. The 3rd item was the nutritious lunch. Nantou is one of the few counties and cities that provides free nutritious lunches to school children. It helps promotes students’ health, and is highly welcomed by parents.
