In the morning on the 18th, Nantou County Government held the “Nantou Prosperous”, the year-end press conference on the Folks’ Square on Sunny Hill. Magistrate Lin Ming-zhen presented the accomplishments of his administration and his future administration goals. Then, he and the heads of the county government put on aprons to become “one-day shop managers,” marketing quality agricultural products produced in different communities. Magistrate Lin took the lead to promote the products by chanting out loud. It attracted many visitors. The venue was filled with laughter and happiness.

    Magistrate Lin expressed in the press conference that in the next year, in the aspects of tourism, industry, social welfare, and medicine, major policies will be launched. In tourism, the Xinyi Twin-dragon Color Hanging Bridge and Sky and Green Sculpture Park in Guoxing Township will be completed and opened soon. The soliciting of BOT case of the old administration building will be conducted shortly to provide a new resort of family travel, and the Nantou Lantern Festival will be held in an enlarged scale. It is estimated to achieve NT$3 billion of economic benefits. A new observatory will also be built in Hehuan Mountain Dark Sky Park for people to enjoy the fun of star gazing.

    In the aspect of industry, Magistrate Lin said there will be good news next year. The four major industrial parks and Puli-Fuxing Hot Spring Zone will be completed consecutively. It is estimated to create 2,000 job opportunities. The county government is going to promote the construction of youth housing and social housing. There will also be youth startup loans to construct Nantou County into an all-round service and industrial environment.
