For the Presidential and Legislative Elections, Magistrate Lin and His Spouse Cast Their Sacred Votes (January 11)
The Election Day of the 15th Presidential Election and the 10th Legislative Election was on the 11th from 8 am to 4 pm, Magistrate Lin Ming-zhen was accompanied by his spouse to cast their sacred votes at the polling station closest to their household registration address at the Bazhang Town Activity Center in Jiji Township.
Magistrate Lin indicated, "The weather is nice today. A lot of people are coming actively to cast their sacred votes." During the voting process, Magistrate Lin friendly chatted with the local folks in Jiji. Magistrate Lin hopes that the future president will lead the people to the various developments in the aspects of construction, education, welfare and the economy; also, it's hoped that the legislators elected by the people of the county will continue striving for more subsidies from the central government to the infrastructure projects that benefit the people of Nantou.
The voting hours start from 8 am and end at 4 pm. Citizens should present a national identity card, the election notification, and a stamp. During voting and upon entering, it's not allowed to carry a mobile phone or other photo-taking or video-shooting device inside the polling station. All citizens must comply with the regulations.
