    On February 25, the new term of all the elementary and high schools began. Early in the morning, Magistrate Lin Ming-zhen of Nantou County arrived at Hushan Elementary School in Caotun to share teachers’ load of taking school children’s temperatures, and taught them the correct way to wash their hands in great details. Magistrate Lin said he was pleased to see teachers, students, and parents cooperate in disease control. With peace of mind, he will urge the county government team to promote disease control with all their efforts to keep COVID-19 away from Nantou.

    Early in the morning, Magistrate Lin arrived at Hushan Elementary School and had his temperature taken and disinfected his hands thoroughly for 20 seconds with alcohol as the school children did. Magistrate Lin said due to the seriousness of COVID-19, all the schools must execute disease control measures thoroughly to maintain the health of school children so that parents will be relieved.

    With the instructions of nurses, Magistrate Lin and the first-grade school children learned the 7 steps of “rubbing” their hands, “inside, outside, in-between, bend, large parts, top of hands, and wrist” to exactly clean the fingers, under the nails, hands’ back, nails, and wrist. The nurses also reminded that in addition to washing hands frequently, we should avoid touching our eyes, mouth, and nose with our hands to stay away from the virus.
