    “Lugu Township Heya Recreation Area Facility and Environment Construction Project” filed by Nantou County Government to the Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, received subsidy approval. With 37% of the budget self-funded by the county government, it will invest NT$15 million to systematically improve the 3 trails of Heshan, Zhuying and Zhang Konglun, and the guide plates of Stone Horse Park Platform and Heya recreation area.

    Magistrate Lin pointed out that although Nantou County Government has to self-fund NT$5.55 million in this NT$15 million-project approved by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, it is willing to raise the money needed despite financial difficulty with the hope of thoroughly improving the tourist services at all potential tourism attractions within Nantou County. It expects to further enhance the attractions’ “visibility” and promote tourism and local development.

    Nantou County Department of Tourism pointed out that the highlights of the Heya Recreation Area Facility and Environment Construction Project includes the pavement and fence strengthening of Heshan Trail, pavement and fence strengthening of Zhuying Trail, flow improvement of Zhang Konglun Trail and the guide plates improvement of Stone Horse Park Platform and Heya.
