    Nantou youth baseball writes a new chapter! Nantou youth baseball defeated Kaohsiung City team in a 23:3 five innings in the “TOTO Cup Little League Championship” on the 16th and advanced to the PONY Baseball League BLWS, setting a record in Nantou County. At the first U-12 softball Asian Cup trial held in Taichung early in the month, the team from Fazhi Elementary School in Renai Township also won the championship with five victories in the round-robin tournament and won the national team representation. These outstanding young players received the awards from Nantou county government at the Nantou County Baseball Stadium on the 23rd.     Both teams are based on Fazhi Elementary School in Renai Township. They gather excellent players from Zhongzheng, Qianqiu, Xinjie, Xinfeng and other elementary schools and write a new chapter in the history of baseball and softball in Nantou. Deputy magistrate Chen awarded and gave bonuses to them, and additional bonuses are all provided by Chang Chia-hsing, the deputy chairman of the Nantou County Sports Association; Councilor Yu Hung-ta, the chairman of the Nantou County Baseball Committee; and Hsu Meng-tien, the chairman of the Arbitration Committee.

With the long-term efforts of the county government and the community, the Nantou team finally won with the best results ever, and will participate in the American Pony League World Junior Baseball Championship. County magistrate Lin attaches great importance to sports and actively improves the sports facilities in many schools.
