    When sudden accidents happen in a family, students and teenagers tend to be at a loss and affect their education. To help desperate, underprivileged and poor students receive education, Magistrate Lin Ming-zhen especially instructed the Department of Education to come up with relief policies in order to actively provide underprivileged students with timely assistance. On June 15, the county government sent its love to Yuchih by give out relief funds to 4 students from Yuchih Junior High School and 1 student from Gonghe Elementary School.

    Lin Ming-zhen mentioned, given that these children were raised by grandparents or single-parent families, they suffer from a tougher daily life. Although the circumstances of their family are tough now, it does not need to be so in the future. With the assistance of the county government and the society, he hoped that these students can study hard at ease in order to obtain better accomplishment and take good care of their family.

    Legislator Ma Wen-chun also attended the event and provided extra relief bonus to these students. Legislator Ma said, “Nantou is a big family with Magistrate Lin as the parent.” The magistrate will assist any citizen in need with all his effort. She also encourages the students that they may encounter unsuccessful happenings in their life and the process of studying may be tough also. She expected them to face their future life optimistically and grow up safely and healthily.
