    Nantou County’s 2020 Community Public Security Study Session was held on the 10th in the Ci-en Community of Puli Township, which has been recognized as a National Public Security Benchmarking Community. More than 170 people participated in the session, including the county's public security community associations, personnel of villages, cadres of the watchdog team, as well as police, fire fighters, social affairs personnel, the volunteer police, traffic auxiliary police, the volunteer fire department, and civil defense volunteers. Through lectures, seminars, and briefings of practical community endeavors, they exchanged and improved knowledge and experience in crime prevention, domestic violence prevention, and disaster prevention and relief.

    Secretary General of the county Hung Rui-chih, County Councilor Ye Ren-chuang, Deputy Speaker Pan Yi-chuan, Director Huang Ming-hui, Legislator Ma Wen-chun, Secretary Yuan Guo-sheng, Legislator Hsu Shu-hua, Deputy Director Chen Yi-cheng, Town Representative Pan Wan-fu, Tseng hsiu-yue, Deputy Director Chen Shi-bao of County Police Department, and Director Fang Qiu-mei of Police Puli Precinct attended the opening ceremony.

    First, secretary General of the county Hung Rui-chih presented the 2020 National Public Security Benchmarking Community Award from the Ministry of the Interior to Chen Hsuan-kuei, the chairman of Ci-en Community; then he also presented awards in recognition of the 2019 public security appraisal of outstanding communities. The awarded communities were Puli Ci-en Security Patrol Team, Nantou City Ying Nan Security Patrol Team, Lugu Township Changya Community Development Association, Nantou City Dapi Security Patrol Team, Ming Jian Township Zhuwei Village Security Patrol Team. Hung pointed out that Ci-en has performed well for many years in maintaining public order in its own community, disaster prevention, domestic violence prevention, maintaining safety for women and children, and high-risk family notifications under the training of community associations and security patrol teams. The Community Public Security Study Session this time is a good example.
