Concert for Epidemic Prevention and Safeguarding Taiwan started in Nantou, paying tribute to volunteers working on epidemic prevention, July 12
Deputy County Magistrate Chen Cheng-sheng attended the charity concert “Let Dedication Be an Honor” at the auditorium of Cultural Affairs Bureau of Nantou County on the afternoon of the 12th. The concert was held by Want Want Culture and Education Foundation, which was about safeguarding Taiwan and epidemic prevention. General Manager of China Television Hu Hsue-chu also attended the concert as the representative of the foundation and paid tribute to all the staff and volunteers working on epidemic prevention across the county.
Chen said that Want Want China Times Media Group and Want Want Culture and Education Foundation have long played to their corporate social responsibilities, being enthusiastic about public welfare and providing strong support and assistance to the county government. As the epidemic is alleviated, the foundation invited well-known artists to perform at a charity concert in Nantou, comforting the hearts of epidemic prevention personnel and volunteers with singing, and bringing warmth to people on the front lines of epidemic prevention. County Mayor Lin Ming-zhen expressed affirmation that all sectors of society strictly abide by the epidemic prevention regulations and implement new life rules for epidemic prevention. Front-line medical staff keep residents healthy day and night, which is why the epidemic situation in Nantou can be effectively controlled. Deputy County Magistrate Chen also reminded listeners that although the epidemic is alleviated, the international epidemic situation has not been resolved. Keep vigilant, take strict precautions, and implement a new life that includes epidemic prevention.
On that day, with the assistance of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Department of Labor, Department of Health and Environmental Protection Bureau of the county government, nearly 800 volunteers and family members were invited to participate in the event. The concert was hosted by the host of the Golden Bell Award, Chen Kai-lun, and the performers were mostly well-known singers in the entertainment industry, such as folk song prince Wang Rui-yu, Tseng Shu-chin singing The Dull-Ice Flower, Oriental Beauty Su Pei, Taiwanese singer Chiu Yun-tzu, super idol Chiang Ming-chuan, KANIT rock band. These 6 groups of artists brought 20 popular old songs in Mandarin and Taiwanese.
