    The 2020 National High School Athletics were held from July 18 to July 23. During the game, the county’s coaches and players tried their best to break through and get the best results. As the 6-day schedule ended, the county team won 18 gold, 14 silver and 26 bronze medals in total.

    In the game, Shiuhkuang Senior High School won the first place in the karate championship in the senior men, senior women, junior men, and junior women groups; Yanhe Junior High School won the second place in the taekwondo championship in the junior women group; Caotun Junior High School won the third place in the wrestling championship in the junior women group; and Dacheng Junior High School won the third place in the archery championship in the junior women group.

    Among them, the best player was Wang Ying-kai from National Caotun Commercial & Industrial Vocational Senior High School, who won the gold medal in pole vault competition with the record-breaking score of 5.03 meters. The karate team from Shiuhkuang Senior High School was the biggest winner of Nantou this time. The players from this school won 10 gold, 6 silver and 15 bronze medals.

    The county team participated in the 2020 National High School Athletics held in Pingtung County from July 18 to July 23. Director Lu Cheng-wei of the Education Department of the county government and Secretary Su Rui-hsiang, on behalf of the county magistrate Lin Ming-zhen, led the coaches and players of the country team to attend the opening ceremony of the 2020 National High School Athletics. Originally, the competition was scheduled for April. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the competition was postponed to July in the hot summer for the first time. The competition was held at an average temperature of 38 degrees, which was a big challenge to the players and indirectly affected the results.
