Nantou County Government Held Epidemic Prevention Meeting and Will Strengthen Announcements on Demanding Tourists to Wear Face Masks at Tourist Attractions Aug. 6
Due to the related measures on “Wearing Face Mask is Demanded in 8 Major Crowded and Enclosed Places” announced by the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on August 5, Nantou County Epidemic Command Center held the “Nantou County 10th Meeting on COVID-19 Epidemic” on the afternoon of August 6. Given that there are numerous tourist attractions in Nantou County and the number of tourists has increased recently, the county government will aggressively promote the wearing of face masks in tourist attractions. Personal epidemic prevention and hygiene measures will be well practiced to prevent the spreading of the epidemic.
Deputy Magistrate Chen Cheng-sheng stated that given that the second wave of the pandemic has occurred in neighboring countries, besides coordinating with the announcement of the CECC demanding face masks to be worn at 8 major places, Nantou County Government will also demand related authorities to strengthen the promotion of face mask wearing targeting tourists at tourist attractions. Social distancing, washing hands and personal hygiene will also be demanded. The county government also called upon practitioners at tourist attraction to remind tourists to carry our epidemic prevention measures through announcements. He believed that Nantou can resist this coming wave of epidemic.
As for the entry control and limiting the number of entrances and exits regarding the county government building, the current real-name registration system and face mask wearing measures will be maintained. Although temperature measuring is not demanded now, measures of the county government will be adjusted according to the development of the epidemic and the policies from the central government. At the same time, associates should wear face masks when entering the county government building and wash their hands often.
