    The MOHW Nantou Hospital has been established for 65 years. Following the establishment of the cardiac catheterization center in August this year, the cardiopulmonary and vascular care center will soon open its doors. The 65th anniversary and the opening ceremony was held on October 27. Magistrate Lin Ming-zhen, Legislator Hsu Shu-hua, Council Member Chang Chia-che, Nantou City Mayor Sung Huai-lin, Caotun Town Mayor Chien Ching-hsien, Director of Nantou County’s Health Bureau Huang Chao-lang all attended and together affirmed a big step forward of the medical standards in Nantou. Lin also had the first experience of ILIB, and felt the sensation of blood circulation and anti-oxidation. “It is surprisingly comfortable,” he mentioned.     In the past, all the residents of Nantou County went to other cities for medical treatment. Under the transportation and the burdened economy, they did not only get tired, but it was also difficult for them to get proper care. In order to provide more accurate diagnosis and treatment technology, the MOHW Nantou Hospital actively recruited specialists and opened the cardiac catheterization center, lung rehabilitation center, low-energy intravenous laser irradiation of blood treatment room (ILIB) and enhanced the external counter pulsation treatment room (EECP) and other new treatment equipment. The cardiopulmonary and vascular care center was set up on the 6th floor of the hospital to provide more diversified and perfect medical services to the public.     Magistrate Lin said that he was glad to see the establishment of the cardiopulmonary and vascular care center in Nantou Hospital, so that residents could receive treatment immediately right after their examination without going through procedures such as hospital transfer, making it more convenient and safer for patients. He believed that with the continuous improvement of medical standards in Nantou, everyone could live healthier lives.
