    The 2020 Agricultural Marketing and Sales Exhibition in Central Taiwan will be held in Zhongxing New Village on October 30. For three consecutive days, five counties and cities from Miaoli, Taichung, Changhua, Nantou and Yunlin will join hands to exhibit, to sell and to demonstrate the charms of agriculture and invite people from all over the country to purchase and to evaluate the "best food" in central Taiwan.     The opening ceremony was kicked off by the pretty water bamboo princesses holding five representative specialties on the stage and welcoming guests. Nantou Magistrate Lin Ming-zhen, Miaoli Deputy Magistrate Teng Kuei-chu, Changhua Deputy Magistrate Hung Jung-chang, Director-General of Agriculture Bureau, Taichung City Government, Tsai Ching-chiang, Director of Agriculture Bureau, Yunlin County, Wei Sheng-te and Legislator Hsu Shu-hua and other distinguished guests jointly uncovered the scroll for the 2020 Agricultural Marketing and Sales Exhibition in Central Taiwan. The event officially opened for three consecutive days for the agricultural products’ marketing and sales.     “The marketing and sales exhibition is held at the square in front of Zhongxing Hall, Zhongxing New Village from today (30th) until November 1” said by Magistrate Lin. There were five themed sections from Miaoli, Taichung, Changhua, Nantou and Yunlin. A total of 150 agricultural vendors were set up in each county and city, including fresh seasonal agricultural products and delicacies provided by high-quality agricultural associations, production and marketing classes, cooperatives, young farmers and small farmers to ensure the public to purchase fresh and safe products and to show the real "5 kinds of good taste" in counties and cities of central Taiwan.     Magistrate Lin further stated that the eighth Agricultural Expo was impacted by the outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsidy cancellation, yet the Nantou County Government had determination to support farmers and to expand agricultural products. This year, we have added a new ally, Yunlin County, which has cooperated with the five counties and cities and raised funds by ourselves. The expo has been transformed into an agricultural marketing sales exhibition in Central Taiwan to shorten the distance between local farmers and consumers.
