The Long-term Care Expo of Nantou County presents the achievements in social care; the elderly do rhythmic exercises together, November 1
To strengthen the promotion of the long-term care policy 2.0, allowing residents to fully understand and use its diversified services, the Nantou County Government held the “2020 Long-term Care Expo and Community-based Care Achievement Exhibition.” The exhibition opened at the Municipal Shiuhkuang Senior High School on the morning of November 1. It was hosted by Deputy Magistrate Chen Cheng-sheng. More than 1,200 people from more than 100 community-based care centers in the county gathered to exchange and share their achievements. The scene was lively and joyous.
Deputy Magistrate Chen said that since 2005, the county government has actively promoted the activities of care centers by organizing briefing sessions in the county to call on communities to join the cause, as well as offer counseling services at each community-based care center every month. The number of service points is increasing gradually. In terms of the long-term care 2.0 services, as of the end of September 2020, the county government has deployed 18A-255B-119C (the number of units is based on the contracts), including 18 Class A units (the service coverage in the county is 100%), 255 Class B units (providing home services, day care, family care and other care services, as well as professional services such as home care, home rehabilitation, respite care.; the service coverage in the county is 100%), and 119 Class C units (organizing health promotions, activities for delaying disability and dementia), which have achieved fruitful results.
