County Magistrate Lin awards two National Chushan Senior High School students who were admitted to NTU, January 8
Chu, I-Hsuan and Lin, Fang-Yu from Chu Shan High School were admitted to National Taiwan University through the HopeApply program. County Magistrate Lin, Ming-Chen went to the school on the 8th to award NT$ 30,000 each as scholarships to these two outstanding students, affirming their endeavors despite the financial difficulties of their families. They study hard and get excellent grades, making them the honor of Nantou.
Chu, I-Hsuan and Lin, Fang-Yu, who are studying at National Chushan Senior High School, were admitted to National Taiwan University through the NTU HopeApply program. Chu I-Hsuan was admitted to the National Taiwan University, College of Medicine, and Lin, Fang-Yu was admitted to the School of Forestry and Resource Conservation, setting a record for National Chushan Senior High School in 60 years. They both come from low- and middle-income families, and their parents are also new residents. It is remarkable to stand out in a difficult situation.
County Magistrate Lin said that the excellent performance of the two prospective NTU students is really a good example for the students in the county. Despite their families’ hardship, they are both highly motivated and know how to give. Lin especially went to the school to show his support. He also hopes that the students can continue to study hard in university and return to their hometown to contribute after graduation, so as to become the backbone of society and make contributions.
