Songbo Ling Shoutian Temple in Mingjian Township, Nantou County, which has many Taoist believers throughout Taiwan, held the blessing ceremony at 11 o'clock on the evening of the Chinese New Year’s Eve on the 11th. Deputy County magistrate Chen, Cheng-Sheng, on behalf of County magistrate Lin, Ming-Chen, presented offerings to Zhenwudadi and prayed for the safety during New Year, together with Chen, Teng-Yueh, the chairperson of Shoutian Temple, personnel of Shoutian Temple, and the local gentry. Deputy County magistrate Chen gave special thanks to the Shoutian Temple and the many believers who participated in the incense offering for following pandemic prevention instructions, wearing masks inside the temple and keeping social distancing in such a major religious event. Chen also emphasized that a major sightseeing construction Tien-Kung-Chih-Hsing that County magistrate Lin, Ming-Chen has been planning for will soon be implemented in Songboling. He hopes that the Shoutian Temple and local people will give full support to the county government, so that the sightseeing construction, which is the biggest investment in the history of Nantou, will be completed as soon as possible. It will comprehensively promote the overall industrial upgrading and development of local agriculture tourism in Mingjian Township. The 2021 incense offering of New Year blessing ceremony of Shoutian Temple was held at 11 o'clock on the night of the Chinese New Year’s Eve. Deputy County magistrate Chen, Cheng-Sheng, Chairman Chen, Teng-Yueh, the director of Civil Affairs Department Wu, Yen-ling, County Councilors Chang, Chia-Che, the chief of Nantou County Police Bureau Cheng, Yu-I, the chairman of Mingjian Township Council Chen, Kuo-Neng, Chief of Staff of Mingjian Township Farmers Association Tsai, Su-Chiu and many believers attended the event. In order to implement pandemic prevention measures, except for the officiate, companions, and personnel of Shoutian Temple, many believers who attended the incense offering ceremony were cooperative and burned incense and worshipped at the square of the temple to avoid gathering inside the temple.
