The landscape and environment integration project in which 340 million have been invested is completed, bringing refreshments to Dong pu Hot Spring, March 10
The long-established hot spring attraction in Taiwan - the Dong pu Hot Spring area in Xinyi Township, Nantou County, has invested as much as 340 million NT$ in the cooperation with the central government to promote the “Dong pu Hot Spring Areas Landscape Design and Living Environment Road Network Integration Project” which is a highlight for Forward-Looking Infrastructure. The old Dong pu hot spring area has been integrated and refurbished thoroughly, combing the creations by artists and the locals. The integration project has been completed on the 10th. County Magistrate Lin, Ming-Chen gives thanks to the central government for its strong support and hopes that the central government can continue to support the follow-up integration of the light environment, planting beautification and trail details to completely change the current situation that has yet to be perfected.
The construction completion ceremony of the Dong pu Hot Spring Areas Landscape Design and Living Environment Road Network Integration Project was held on the morning of the 10th at the entrance of the hot spring plaza that has the image of “Legend of Deer Hunting.” Executive Secretary Chen, Mao-Chun of the Interior Ministry, Deputy Director Wu, Hung-Shuo of the Construction and Planning Agency, Legislator Ma, Wen-Chun, Director Chen, Chih-Hsien of the Tourism Department of Nantou County Government, Director Shih Chiang of the Indigenous Peoples Bureau, Director Chen, His-Wu of the Department of Public Works, and Xinyi Township Mayor Chuan, Chih-Chien all attended.
County Magistrate Lin said that the Dong pu Hot Spring has been famous for a long time and its sodium bicarbonate spring water is of superb quality and is loved by both domestic and international tourists. However, due to the impact of COIVD-19, the business was in trouble at the beginning of last year. Fortunately, the Nantou County Government submitted a project sat the right time and received a subsidy of NT$ 285 million from the Ministry of the Interior, along with the county government’s self-raised funds of more than NT$54 million. Under the supervision of the industry, official and university committees led by Wu, Hung-Shuo, deputy director of the Construction and Planning Agency and the full support of the Central Engineering Office of the Construction and Planning Agency, Dong pu Hot Spring has been refurbished completely and has even attracted a large number of tourists after the pandemic eases resembling a rebirth.
