In order to ensure the safety of the people, the county government has spent NT$ 4.47 million on maintenance and improvement projects since September last year. County Magistrate Lin, Ming-Chen, along with County Councilor Liao, Wen-Hsien, Ren-ai Township Mayor Wu, Wen-Chung, Chairman Kao, Chun-Ming of the township council, Vice Chairman Hsiao, Chuan-Chi, and Director Shih Chiang of the Indigenous Peoples Bureau of Nantou County Government, conducted an on-site inspection for the construction on the 23rd. County Magistrate Lin said that the maintenance project will be completed before the end of March, which will provide tourists with better tourism quality. The improvement construction is located on the Qu Bing Old Trail, from the Siyuan Suspension Bridge to the Lalamisi Falls to the upstream of the Momonaer Waterfall, a total of 1.66 kilometers. The construction mainly is to set up an extra 530-meter-long rope railing, a guide board at 0K+420, gravel-bag slope protection from 0K+477 to 483 and renovate the gallery roads at 1K+580, 1K+610, and 1K+630, as well as laying gravel trails. County Magistrate Lin said that people in the metropolitan area like to explore secret places on their vacations. Although the inspection day is Tuesday, many tourists can be seen on the spot. Even more people are attracted during holidays, making the rural areas full of people and vehicles. Therefore, the county government has implemented construction to reinforce safety. The inspection will be conducted again after the completion of the project. In addition to ensuring the quality of the project, County Magistrate Lin will also pay attention to facilities that need to be strengthened along the way, so that tourists can have better quality and protection.
