On behalf of Nantou County Government, County Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen accepted two rehabilitation buses donated by Chen Kuo-Sheng, chairman of San Way International Co., Ltd., and his wife on the 7th. In addition to giving a certificate of appreciation to the donators for their act of philanthropy, County Magistrate Lin also gives special thanks to Master Ju Hui and Master Chien Ning at Daksinavana Institute of Buddhist Studies for pulling some strings in between, legislators Hsu Shu-Hua and Ma Wen-Chun, the special assistant to the county magistrate Lin Ju-Pin and others for making this act of philanthropy possible and benefiting more physically challenged people. County Magistrate Lin says he really appreciates Chairman Chen for donating vehicles with kindness even though he’s running a successful business. As Nantou is quite vast and that there are more than 33,600 people with disabilities in the county, the demand for shuttle buses is high. However, some people have been unable to make an appointment for shuttle buses due to a lack of vehicles. The county government will make good use of these two buses, overcome the dilemma of setting up shifts, cooperate with private units to expand the scale of services and quality, and provide more convenient and easier shuttle services to people with disabilities.
