The construction of the first phase of the “Youth Housing” project proposed by Nantou County Government with a self-raised fund of NT$ 245 million has started on the 29th, witnessed by the public with excitement. A total of 45 quality houses with an emphasis on “Bright Design” will be available by April 2023, helping youths who want to move back to their hometown and work on their businesses making their dreams come true. When presiding over the groundbreaking ceremony, County Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen emphasized that the four major industrial parks and Fuxing Hot Spring Area developed by the county government will bring more than NT$ 4.5 billion to the county treasury this year and next. So, the next county magistrate won’t be worrying about money. As for the youth housing, the second phase will be planned right away. Also, the houses are expected to pre-sell to make available funds more flexible, so that more youth houses can be developed in townships and cities, providing an incentive for youths to move back to their hometown and work on their businesses while allowing the industries to take root in Nantou. County councilors Yu Hsiu-Ying, Chang Chia-Che, Shih Hsueh-Yen, Wang Tsai-Yun, Tseng Chen-Yen, Lin Fang-Yu, Tsai Ming-Hsuan, Lai Yen-Hsueh, Chen Han-Li, Chairman Chang Hui-Ching of Nantou Borough Council, legislators Ma Wen-Chun, Hsu Shu-Hua, Lo Mei-Ling, and a representative of County Councilor Liao Tzu-Yu attended the groundbreaking ceremony, as well as Director Li Cheng-Wei of the Economic Affairs Department, Director Lin Tsung-Chi of the Fire Bureau, and Chief Secretary Tseng Mao-Jung of Nantou City Office. After the lion dance that presents good fortune, County Magistrate Lin led the distinguished guests to pray for good luck and mark the first day of construction together, wishing a successful construction.
