Starting from the 2nd, the 2nd-dose of the Moderna vaccination for older adults aged 66 or older in Nantou County has begun, which will be completed in 3 days. The county government has coordinated the vaccination with hospitals and public health centers. In the morning, accompanied by Director Chen Nan-Sung of the Public Health Bureau, County Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen went to the vaccination station at the Tzu Chi liaison office in Nantou City to learn about the vaccination status of the people, along with Legislator Hsu Shu-Hua, County Councilor Tseng Chen-Yen and Lai Yen- Hsueh.
Nantou County has been allocated 14,440 doses of the Moderna vaccine from the central government this time. The vaccination is carried out based on different neighborhoods and schedules to avoid crowds. To provide older adults with a comfortable, safe and convenient vaccination environment, the county government has set up 4 large-scale vaccination stations at the Tzu Chi liaison office in Nantou City, the Culture and Education Activity Center of General Chen Temple in Caotun Township, Puli Multi-Purpose Stadium and Chushang Library, respectively, in which more people are scheduled to be vaccinated. In addition, 25 vaccination stations have been set up at the hospitals, public health centers and activity centers in 13 townships. 23 medical teams of several health facilities, including Nantou Hospital, Nanji Hospital, Puli Christian Hospital, Puli Veterans Hospital, Yumin Hospital, Tseng Han Chi Hospital, Chu Shang Show Chwan Hospital, Tung Wah Hospital and other ordinary medical clinics and associations, have joined for the vaccination. County Magistrate Lin also kindly reminded everyone to drink plenty of water and get lots of rest so that the efficacy of the vaccine can be maximized and our own health can be ensured.
