“Travel to Nantou during the Double Tenth Day, Safe and Happy All the Way.” On the 8th, Nantou County Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen livestreamed as a guest of an Internet celebrity and recommended the app “Nantou Scenic Areas Real-Time Image” to encourage people throughout Taiwan to travel to Nantou and enjoy beautiful landscapes during Double Tenth Day, echoing the National Traffic Safety Month. County Magistrate Lin especially reminds pedestrians to slow down, look and stop when crossing through intersections and refrain from driving fatigue and drunk driving when traveling to enhance public awareness of traffic safety and reduce the risk of traffic accidents. To reduce the number of casualties due to traffic accidents and echo the National Traffic Safety Month in October, the Nantou County Government takes “Road Safety of Drivers and Pedestrians” as the theme and organizes a series of online livestreaming draw events on the Facebook page of “iNantouCounty.” Starting from October 1 to 22, the county government has invited Internet celebrities in different fields and livestreamed on the Facebook page every Friday to promote traffic safety and hold draw events, which have drawn attention from a broad range of Internet users and gained in popularity among people throughout Taiwan. On the 8th, County Magistrate Lin drew the winner of the top prize of the week AppleWatch through livestreaming. Lin says as the pandemic is easing, people are more willing to travel. The Double Tenth Day is coming during the weekend, welcoming people to travel to Nantou. Lin reminds people to make a plan on traffic before starting the journey and check your vehicles to avoid breaking down on the road. In addition, October is the Traffic Safety Month, and traffic safety is everyone’s responsibility. Please yield to others and be careful so that we can go out happily and back home safely.
