As the epidemic alert is lowered and the Quintuple Stimulus Voucher program by the central government is launched, Nantou County Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen, Legislator Hsu Shu-Hua, an Internet celebrity Han Xiu Cao and several guests strewed paper money out of surprise on the 22nd, as a start of the receipt-for-draw-event FunNantou. Starting from the October 29 to May 6 next year, a prize of NT$ 100,000, travel and accommodation lucky bags will be drawn on Friday every week, a special prize of totaling NT$ 1 million will be drawn for two times and additional prizes by Nantou Branch of the National Taxation Bureau of the Central Area will be drawn for two times. There will be more than 1,000 prizes worth more than NT$ 5 million. In the afternoon of the 22nd, Nantou County Government held a press conference for the FunNantou event in the atrium. After an excellent opening performance by Is’ang Indigenous Culture Arts Group, an Internet celebrity from Nantou, Han Xiu Cao, was invited to sing for the audience. County Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen even carried a suitcase full of paper money to the stage and announced the information on the FunNantou event, including a prize of NT$ 100,000 to be drawn every week and a special prize of totaling NT$ 1 million. After the announcement, County Magistrate Lin, Legislator Hsu Shu-Hua, Han Xiu Cao, and several guests used a “money gun” to strew paper money all over and officially kick off the FunNantou event with cheers of the crowd. According to the county government, the receipt-for-draw-event FunNantou is a 6-month event that encourages people to use stimulus vouchers to enter a draw, which is the longest in Taiwan. People can join the event by registering on the official event website https://funnantou.jil.tw/ with a receipt acknowledging a spending of more than NT$ 200 from October 1 this year to April 30 next year.
