“Helping Students to Study” – Giving study grants to 202 students. County Magistrate Lin participates in all 6 sessions, December 27
With the donation of NT$ 6.06 million from the Liu Lin-Shao Memorial Charity Foundation, a study grant of NT$ 30,000 has been given in 6 sessions to 202 students each in Nantou County who were in need of financial support based on the investigation of Nantou County Government. County Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen presented the valuable study grants from kind donors in person in each session and encouraged students to turn their lives around through learning. After completing the last session on the 27th, County Magistrate Lin felt touched and implored more caring enterprises, associations and individuals to donate to timely help children from families in distress and difficulties and carry on the immeasurable merits of helping students study.
The 6th session of presenting the study grants “Helping Students to Study” was held in the afternoon of the 27th at the Qixian Hall of Zhushan Elementary School. County Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen , Legislator Hsu Shu-Hua, county councilors Yu Hao, Wu Jui-Fang, Tsai Meng-Er and Principal Chen Jung-Chang of Jhushan Elementary School presented the study grants to 45 students from Xiufeng, Fenghuang, Zhongliao, Jhushan, Yunlin, Guoxi, Daan, Yanping, Zhonghe, Wenchang, Ruizhu and Qianshan Elementary School and Zhushan, Yanhe, Ruizhu, She-Liao, Ruifeng and Lugu Junior High School and Shiukuang Senior High School one by one, encouraging students to study hard and turn their lives around.
Lin Ming-Chen says that many students’ families have encountered difficulties due to the impact of the pandemic and that they are in urgent need of support and care. In recent years, in addition to instructing the Education Department to set up a regular relief program to provide substantial financial assistance, the county government has also been seeking resources from social groups in the hope of helping students’ families get through the hard times so that they can focus on their studies.
