In addition, County Magistrate Lin has required lighting improvement work near the tracks of the stadium to be prioritized, so that it would be safer for people who still actively go to the stadium and do exercise during the rehabilitation work to use the space at night. To improve the sports environment for the public, Nantou County Government has actively strived for subsidies from the Sports Administration of the Ministry of Education under the Forward-Looking Infrastructure Development Program to restore the tracks of the Nantou County Stadium to ensure sports safety of Nantou residents. County Magistrate Lin says people doing exercise at the Nantou County Stadium every morning and evening are just as many as those going to the wet markets. The stadium is the best sports venue for residents and even Lin himself goes there often. However, since the rehabilitation was completed in 2007, the flexibility of the tracks of the stadium had been gradually reduced after 14 years of frequent use, such as for the National High School Games in 2008, the National Athletics Championships of the National High School Games in 2011, the Citizens Sports Games in 2012 and the National Indigenous Games in 2015.
