Performing artist Kuo Tzu-Chien calls on clinic to donate test kits, Deputy County Magistrate Chen expresses gratitude, February 11
Due to the increasing number of confirmed Omicron cases in Taiwan, Kuo Tzu-Chien, who’s a performing artist, has called on MORNJOY Preventive Medicine Clinic to donate a total of 2,880 COVID-19 home test kits, which are worth approximately NT$ 1 million, to the Nantou County Government on the 11th. Deputy County Magistrate Chen Cheng-Sheng received the donation with gratitude on behalf of the county government. Chen said that COVID-19 rapid test kits will be distributed to social welfare institutions and units associated with health affair and epidemic prevention to implement preventive measures and ensure the safety of all citizens.
In the morning of the 11th, Kuo Tzu-Chien and Chiang Chia-Yen, the Marketing and PR manager of MORNJOY Preventive Medicine Clinic, donated COVID-19 rapid test kits. The Deputy County Magistrate Chen received the donation and presented the certificate of appreciation on behalf of the county government. County Councilor Tsai Ming-Hsuan, Director Lin Chih-Chung of the Social and Labor Affairs Department, Director Chen Nan-Sung of the Health Bureau, Director Lin Chi-Yu of the Press and Administration Department, Lin Ju-Yang, a secretary to County Magistrate, and others attended the event to express their gratitude for such a kind deed.
Deputy County Magistrate Chen says that although there isn’t any locally acquired case in Nantou for now, prevention is better than cure. Chen appreciates Kuo Tzu-Chien and MORNJOY Preventive Medicine Clinic for donating the COVID-19 rapid test kits and promised that every kit will be used for those needing them the the most, so that the preventive measures in social welfare institutions, nursing homes and child welfare agencies can be implemented more comprehensively.
