On the 23rd, the Nantou County Government and the Hsinchu County Government held a symposium attended by the leaders. In view of the fact that the Hsinchu County Government has built a civil sports center in Zhubei City and is planning to build a civil sports stadium in Zhudong Township, the Nantou County Government has recently planned to build a civil sports center near the former site of the Nantou County Council and Caotun Native Plant Park. The Nantou County Government took this opportunity to share experiences in the construction of the sports center with each other, hoping to complete the planning work in the shortest time and create a perfect sports environment for the public. According to the Hsinchu County Government, the construction of the Zhubei Civil Sports Center, which has been opened, was under the forward-looking program 1.0. The conditions for applying for subsidies require a population of more than 110,000 people. As for the unfinished Zhudong Civil Sports Stadium, which is a building with one basement and five floors above ground, with a multi-sports court, an aerobics classroom, a squash classroom, a table tennis room, a spinning bike classroom and other auxiliary equipment, with an area of about 2,200 square meters, is under the forward-looking program 2.0. The conditions for applying for subsidies require only a population of 70,000 people. At present, the Zhubei Civil Sports Center is operated under the OT scheme. It is suggested that a swimming pool and a badminton court be included to the construction plans if the Nantou County Government plans to build one, so that it could be more profitable. Hsinchu County Magistrate Yang Wen-Ke led Deputy County Magistrate Chen Chien-Hsien, Secretary-General Chen Chi-Yuan and the heads of various bureaus, totaling 38 people, to visit the Nantou County Government for the symposium. Nantou County Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen, Deputy County Magistrate Chen Cheng-Sheng, Secretary-General Hung Jui-Chih and all the first-level supervisors attended the symposium. The two sides shared their opinions on the topics of free lunch and the development of industrial parks. The Hsinchu County Government was the first to launch a free lunch program in Taiwan, while the Nantou County Government has been doing it since the beginning. Furthermore, the Nantou County Government has even extended the free lunch program to public kindergartens, as well as increasing the amount of subsidies, making a good impression on the Hsinchu County Government.
