County Magistrate Lin cares for the elderly at care facilities and community long-term care stations, April 6
On the morning of the 6th, accompanied by Legislator Hsu Shu-hua, County Councilor Chang Chia-che and Director Lin Chih-chung of the Social and Labor Affairs Department, County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen went to Xui Kids Care, a welfare organization in Nantou City, to learn about the situation of the organization and listen to a briefing, so as to understand its needs. County Magistrate Lin said that assistance will be provided by the relevant units of the county government in improving the surrounding public facilities after discussion and planning.
Xui Kids Care is a children’s organization affiliated to Yongshan Temple in Nantou County, a consortium. Accompanied and led by Chairman Chih-He, Feng-tzu of Yongshan Temple, County Magistrate Lin and others first went to Yongshan Temple to burn incense and pray, and then went to Xui Kids Care for a briefing to learn about the current situation of the nine children, as well as looking at the living environment, such as the dormitory, toilets and surrounding outdoor space, to care for the children.
In the afternoon, accompanied by Lin Ju-yang, a secretary of the county government, and Lin Ju-pin, a special assistant of the county magistrate, Lin visited care facilities in Fangmei community, Zhanghe Neighborhood community, Zhuntian Temple community, and newly established community long-term care stations to learn about the situation of elderly and long-term care. Legislator Hsu Shu-hua and County Councilor Chang Chia-che also went there to care for the situation. County Magistrate Lin had warm conversations with older adults in the communities, gave gifts, and provided funds for better meals. It was sweet and heart-warming.
